Exclamation odd knocking noise

hello ever one. i have a 2000 xj, and ever since an accident i had my rad was pushed into my rad fan and since then i eliminated it and added a second electric fan. but the problem i keep having is when i accelerate above 2000 rpms i have a really bad grinding/knocking sound around the trans and motor from what i could tell. i checked all the motor mounts and trans mount an it all seems solid. any idea what might be causing this issue? im completely stumped and cant figure it out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is an inspection cover for the flexplate under the bellhousing, take it

off and look up there with a flashlight to check for loose bolts or damage.

You will have to turn the plate manually to gain access to all the bolts.

That is just one possibility of many.

What kind of accident and what part of your XJ was damaged?
