Default hard or soft fiberglass board?

96' Jeep Sport 4-door.

I'm almost certain I need to get a new headliner board, not just replace the fabric. Haivng trouble locating anything worthwhile junk yard wise. Does anyone know if I had to buy a new board from the dealer, would I get the same crappy soft type board or the firmer rigid shell type?

Never heard of a hard board, but you could probably get one custom made if you want one. Soft is the only one I know of.

Some of the pics I've seen on other post appear to have a hard type shell that folks are painting. Mine is a pressed looking fiberglass stiff cardboard lookin' thing. You could tear by hand easily.
