Default motor backfires

93 Cherokee xj. Auto trans. 4.0, motor chokes out when holding accelerator, usually after its been warmed up and sometimes when I shut it off after its been run and try to start it again! Motor has throttle body spacer, air raid intake, new cap, plugs, wires, rotor button, fuel filter, radiator, water pump, tps sensor, coolant temperature sensor. Any help would be better than none...

Wouldn't it run like crap all the time if it had bad fuel pressure?

Not necessarily. Check the fuel pressure. Ever replace the fuel filter since you've owned it?

Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump. Still no change. It seems to be something to do with when it gets warmed up. Starts up fine after its been sitting for like 7 hours or so. And because its colder out I can just pop the hood and wait a few minutes and it will start again...roughly though but better than if hood was down.

Test your CPS. Or, just throw some water on it when this happens and see if that cures it.
