1990 jeep issues
Hi Everyone I am new to the forum. I have just purchase a 1990 Jeep Cherokee Automatic 4Wheel drive. It has 62K original miles it belonged to a little old lady and her husband who used it to pull behind there motorhome. My plan is to do some fix up on the jeep and pull it behind my Motorhome. It needs a paint job and some elbow grease. I have a few issues I will list them and if any of you guys have some suggestions they will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
1st- To flat tow I know the transfer case has to be in neutral but I am unsure where the transmission need to be I have pieces of information one say's it should be in neutral and the other says it should be in Park.
2nd- I think the fuel tank was replaced and the fuel gage is reading full when the tank is empty and empty when the tank is full do you think the wires are hooked up wrong on the tank? If it is that how hard is it to change the wires around.
3rd- My turn signal on the right side works right and the emergency flasher works but the left turn signal will not blink?

They make a great Toad.
I pulled mine in PARK with the transfer case in NEUTRAL. Key to 'off' to unlock the steering wheel. Don't lock your only set of keys inside. (don't ask)
See here for step-by-step- post #8.

Fix the ground back at the fuel tank pump/sender connector. I bet it's bad.
What happens when you operate the left turn signal? If they light up steady without flashing, generally a bulb is out somewhere. (or a bad socket, bad wiring or bad bulb ground) Not enough current to operate the flasher .
Do ALL the lights come on and flash with the hazard switch?
