it was posted several times buy cruiser 54 what needs to be done with distributor.... some where between pages 2-6 i believe. the timing and crap is different i believe between the renix 4.0 and the HO 4.0. glad to hear that you got the new engine in and it has good oil pressure. did you wind up replacing the bearings while you had it out?
now next time read peoples advice and take to it my friend. cruiser 54 is probably the most experienced person with anything renix.
also correct spelling and punctuation helps alot on threads. especially when it is something in depth. not being rude just stating.

It's not about money (I would guess a number of us are in similar boats) or snooty attitudes. It's about the way in which you refuse to take advice - or seem to avoid it.
If you're legit, and I have my doubts, listen to Cruiser and everyone else here that is trying to help you get your rig back in order.

My goodness, really: meat missiles, cooter corks, some stuff I don't even want to think about - and let's not forget about the Angry Pirate comment! I'm blushing.

the distributor being out of time will cause this it also has the cam position sensor essebtially built in to it which controls the injectors and some other things. did you change the flywheel from the old engine to the new? this matters because the crank position sensor for the renix ecu reads a different pulse than that of the high output engine sensor. the crank sensor reads off the flywheel/flexplate tone ring sending a pulse to the ecm telling it when to fire the injectors. did you change all the sensors over?
ok so upon further review of youre wonderful explanations, did you just put an engine in it??? rebuild the bottom end and put a new head on the old engine? this will come in handy for diag.

just curious if the "." key is now broken on your keyboard since before you seemed to put them in your sentences at completely random places and now you don't use them at all i know it makes it easier and faster to type with no caps or punctuation but it sure makes it alot harder to read right

ok what year head did you use? once again did you reuse the sensors and stuff that came off you're head??? its possible that you may have plugged an injector in wrong. you may also have stuck open injector.
