How was the compression checked on an engine that's not in a vehicle? How much sand and dirt has circulated through the engine already?
If you have a buddy from a dealership, how come you're running numerous 3 and 4 page threads here?
I'm thinking this needs to be applied to all of anotherdayridin's threads:

He's probably every bit as tired of you asking for advice, ignoring that advice, then coming back with more silly questions.

Go to post #17 here..V

With one pair of (correct for the crank, (probably standard)) rod bearing inserts and a $5 package of plactigauge you could see if a rod journal is too out of round. (death).
Mains? No. Yes it you are doing a whole #, but it looks pretty clean outside! I've had JY rods test GREAT with plastiuauge. Since thay tend to go first and are actually sticking out at you, checking them makes sense.

What a great suggestion! I hear they're experts on engines with sand in them.

I take it back. He will get banned way before this thread gets to 30 pages...
I did have to goggle "angry pirate" though. Now I have a new insult for my brother. If nothing else, this thread has been worth it just for that.

I did it!!!
I made it through all 10 frickin' page of this "dope" opera. I couldn't stop and I have to ask myself some serious questions about why. I think it was worth it though. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time - good Christmas cheer!
You've wasted good people's time and you'll burn in hell for that. But, the angry pirate (I had to google it too) may have made it all worth it.
