Default Junkyard xj axle question

They gotta sale at my local junkyard and I'm wanting to get me an axle to swap in to my 99 stock 2wd no lift . I don't have a welder otherwise I'd just get an explorer axle.
My question is if I find an xj that's already done the swap to a ford 8.8 or Chrysler 8.25 I should be able to do a straight bolt on swap being they've already moved the perches and mounts? I know some have already been lifted and mine being stock height maybe the angle would be off?
or maybe i should take the savings and pay someone to welde some new on not sure

XJ Chrysler 8.25s would be a direct bolt in, and the Ford 8.8 would be also if it was already converted to be used in an XJ with rear leaf springs.

I was just thinking, if someone went to the trouble of converting a Ford 8.8 into an XJ, they may have also converted it to disc brakes. Not a bad thing, but something to consider.

Picked up a chrysler 8.25 out of a 95 xj 2x4 being I'm also 2x4 I was thinking it would fit. Can I still use my driveshaft? I took the u bolts and plate with it. Going to use my e brake cables and brake line bein the 95 cables are longer then my 99 different location. Am I missing anything?

You may need the driveshaft also.

I didn't grab the driveshaft the 8.25 was attached to because it got a little dented I guess from the fork lift at the yard.

I guess I could find another 8.25 driveshaft from like a liberty or something.
