zip ties are always an option i busted the little slip over piece on my throttle body for cruise a long time ago and just zip tied it back on lol works great.
Problem solved. Took the old broken link, massaged the plastic off the ends off with BFH. Hammered the "L" shape straight enough to grind down the ends of the rod to accept 1/4x28 die, threaded about a inch on both ends. Bought a JEG'S #15746 Carburettor Linkage disconnect kit, consisting of two female rod ends fitted with 1/4" *****. Removed ***** and chucked into toolbox, threaded ends onto rod. I then beat the rod back into the proper curvature, attached to linkage in jeep, and Bob's your uncle.. FWIW, metal throttle rod ball ends are effectively immortal, you'll never need to do this again.
The kit from Jegs cost about $8, shipping was free
