Gathering dust..
Haven't touched the XJ in a couple of weeks, broken throttle evidently unresolvable.
Gone back to replacing the trans in my Subaru, which has no bits that are NLA, and will do 98% of what the Jeep will do, getting 29mpg along the way. Was thinking of replacing it with the XJ for winter use, anyway, 'cause the Soob's little bitty 13" wheels allow the car to ride up on, and high center on, snowbanks, and I'm a bit tired of digging it out.
Oh well..

Well, all this drama stuff like facebook confounds me.
Are we needing some Midol or trying to fix/maintain our Jeeps?
We should stay tuned for the next episode?

Near as I can tell, removing this link breaks the (old, brittle) ears off the plastic rod end that is supposed to snap over the throttle plate ball, rendering it useless. There is neither repair or replacement for this.. I've talked to Morris Motors, JW auto parts, MoPar, and several local junkyards, can't get no satisfaction.
I'm open to suggestion..

Yes, throttle linkage bits are available everywhere, I have 5 different examples of the link from the throttle body to the bellcrank, all are broken just like mine.

Metal rod with plastic clips on each end that snap over a ball on the throttle and on the other end a ball on the throttle linkage bell crank?
