Default Fuel injector issue

Hey guys I need some quick help.

I picked a set of used bosch 746 injectors for the Cherokee.

Went to install them and didn't realize until I had everything pulled apart, but the plastic washer on the bottom of one is broken.

What are these called and where can I get one? I assume I need these on there?

If I'm not mistaken, it just keeps the o-ring in place. The o-ring compression takes place between the manifold's injector port and the injector body.

It looks like you'll need another injector. That plastic piece is part of the injector body and forms a vacuum seal into the manifold. It's pressed on when the injector is made and I doubt can be found separately.

Open the google and type:
bosch type 3 injector o ring retainer

I sell injectors for the 4.0L and dont want to bias your purchase but that will get you to all sorts of options.

The retainers break apart when old. The new ones have some give and you should be able to push them on the tip. Use a thin coating of white petroleum on your o rings so you dont gouge them when installing the injectors into the manifold.

I didn't know anyone in here still sold injectors I've been trying to find some for awhile.

When I search that the ones that come up are different. Will these still work?

If it were mine, I'd get a complete kit including pintle caps, orings and screens.

I cant tell from your photo how are they different?

Yes I started supplying rebuilt 4 and 12 hole sets after our local guy on here had to stop. I'll step away from it when he comes back.

The ones I have are just a completely flat plastic washer type. All the ones I see online are more like a top hat if that makes sense.

I'll pick up a whole kit for all 6 if they
will work.

And this is why you buy rebuilt injectors from the trusted folks on the forum.

I decided I'd be best to pick up a rebuild kit. I pulled out the filters and this is what they look like. They are pretty bad and I think one of them the bottom piece is still there blocking the inner hole. Live and learn.

So what do you guys think? Scrap them or continue?

Wow. I "rebuilt" mine before my last smog check. Replaced the screens and orings. Did the DIY injector cleaning thing.
