703 fuel injector cleaning (HD vid I made)
After finding a DIY fuel injector cleaning video on youtube, I thought I'd make one specific to our XJ's and the 703 swap. Also, I'll have a couple sets of 703's for sale very soon so check in the for sale section.

AWESOME... got some new to me injectors and i didn't know how to clean them... they looked clean but i wanted be sure... so i soaked them in fuel injector cleaner, boy was that a stinky mess, the fuel injector cleaner was dirty afterwards, but i dropped the entire injector in so it was probably just the exterior being cleaned... so i saw this post and immediately went to gather the parts.
Local Farm Equipment Supplier: 6 cc plastic syringe : $0.79
Can of carb cleaner: 3.49
button: i had it
aligator clips instead of EV6 clip, junk yards are closed on sunday...
worked like a charm, had to remove the o-rings to fit them in the syringe,
i pressurized the syringe with carb cleaner, then a few clicks of the button and the fuel injector was spraying like a champ,
just for shiggles i may clean my old ones and mentally compare the spray patterns, at least who ever gets my old ones wont have to clean em.
thanks for the youtube video.

Nice video. But I`m wondering how much of the 15 or so years or crud caked inside an injector can actually be dislodged in a few short spurts especially with the injector screen still in place. I would suggest removing the micro-screens as my rebuilding has shown me that most of the old ones are fairly dried up and brittle if not cracked. Once the screens are removed I always soak mine over night in straight injector cleaner to loosen everything up and then I flush them like this with the screens still out. Then replace the screens. Maybe overkill but I have a lot of free time on my hands.
