Default Injector upgrade question

I am using injectors out of a ford 4.0v6. I am trying to figure out how to attach the clips that connect the injector to the fuel rail. Is there something eles that I need or do I just not use the clips? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do they look like this? 0-280-155-710/700 ford 19# MPFI

These are 280s and not 289 however google cant find a 289

these are the injectors people commonly use for pre 1999 jeep cherokees on this forum, there is a ford model also but im pretty sure its a different injectors than yours, the gap at the top is where a clip slides in securing the injector to the rail, the yellow injector above doesn't have one.

Also check the electrical connection to see if it is EV1 or EV6. unless you have 0-280-155-710, then they should just physically swap out. the clip on your stock injectors should slide off

You are correct...I mistyped the number off the injector. The electrical connector will work. I did not see a slot in the injector for the little clips the came off of my OEM injectors. I put them back on the best I could. I hope it works. Thanks for your response.
