Default Broke my shift **** off now what???

I was replacing my shift boot today not realizing that the collar around the bottom of the 5spd shifter was a lock nut and cranked on it hard to unscrew it totally and snapped it clean off the shifter. Any Ideas about fixing it or should I just locate a new 5 spd shifter? And how involved a job is it replacing it?

thanks for that write up captain. Gonna get a new shifter out of the deal I guess. This no doubt will be the first of many things to break on this rig.
