Default Axle Id PLEASE

A buddy gave me this yota axle. Anybody know what it is, if its any "better" than the 8.25 in my xj? Good candidate for a swap?
Its got 10 bolts around the third member and its only 51" from plate-plate.

51" plate to plate? whats that? backing plate? wheel mounting service? 51" is way to short for a XJ

not shure but it looks like a high pinion 8" you should just sell it or scrap it

I think the 8.25 is better only becaus eyou dont have to mod any thing if your gunna spend time and money on an axle do a d44 ford 9"
