Default Wheeling in New York.

Hello everyone, I live near Cooperstown and don't really know of too many good places to wheel my Jeep. Don't get me wrong, there are some decent places around but they're not extremely challenging and I'd like a bit more of a challenge, want to test my WJ out Lol. Any clues would be great thanks

I was knocking around in southern Oswego county in the Happy Valley Wildlife Management Area and on the east side, came across a sign for Kasoag Trailriders Improved Trail System. I said "What the heck" and ventured down one of them. The trail steadily got worse and there was no place to turn around so I was basically committed to continue. My WJ is STOCK with no lifts and I really wasn't prepared for this, but after bouncing thru water holes and over rocks, I made it out with just a broken muffler clamp! I found out later this is a SNOWMOBILE trail system! Oops! BTW, my cell phone had no signal!

There doesn't seem to be any public access for motorized vehicles except snowmobiles anywhere in the state, however check with local jeep clubs to find private trails. There is one in Cayuga county that's $15/day last I checked. No, I don't know the name of it.

Check out "Wheeling Neighborhoods - North Atlantic" section of this forum. Maybe you can connect with someone near you.

Well there you go! It appears you need a plugin that your carrier doesn't support. I couldn't get to it until I added the www.
