I should be back to having the weekend off again in the next couple of weeks. We are going to have to do a chinamans run very soon. Go down and camp a Friday or something. Sundays I wont be able to wheel though since playing in 2-4 different lacrosse leagues until the end of summer.

Anyone want to go wheeling this Friday or Saturday. I will arrive in Denver tonight and have a friend that wants to see the mountains before flying back Sunday. If not what are some good light off road trails or mountain roads that look cool.

I did Slaughterhouse for the first time yesterday with a friend who has a WJ. I saw a lot of other XJs out there and wondered if any of them are on the forum. It was a fun trail, just a little muddy and it made the climbs more interesting. There was a mud hole off to the side near the beginning that we avoided. On the way out there was an old Dodge pickup stuck deep in the mud, so we were glad we skipped that. So far that was the most challenging trail I've done in my Jeep and it did great.

This Slaughterhouse you speak of, is that, "Slaughterhouse Gultch or Pass"? Thats all that came up on YouTube. How would u rate this trail compared to the rest of the trails in Co?

Yeah, that's the one. I just bought my Jeep last year and finished the lift at about the end of the summer 4-wheeling season, so I haven't explored a lot of trails for comparison yet. This site has great info on trails, and I have the FunTreks guidebook. Here is the Slaughterhouse write-up:
http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=2

The FunTreks book gives it a "difficult" rating, but I think that might be overestimating it. It was fun but not that challenging in a lifted XJ. More dirt that rocks, so no need for lots of skid plates or anything. In a stock SUV it would be tough in some spots.

It's basically a dirt road in the forest. Not much scenery.

Sounds like it was the group from facebook that you saw out there.

Hi Denver...

Can anyone PLEASE help me?

Where is the fuse located for the sunroof of a 2001 Cherokee Classic (Limited)??

I read somewhere it shares the same one as intermittent wipers (?)
I've checked the owners manual for the fuses inside.. And read the ones listed inside the fuse box that is under the hood. Nothing!

Why do I need to know?
Because I think some rain must've seeped in and shorted something out. When I start the truck the sunroof "vents" on it's own. One time I was unable to get it to close for a couple days. Just a clicking sound. So now that it's closed, I just want to take out the fuse to keep it that way (so long as it doesn't share anything else I need). I hardly ever use it anyway.

Any other suggestions on how to fix it, or where to take it for repair would be MUCH appreciated! I need to get this done ASAP.

Thanks for reading!

Hello again gentleman!! Just want to stick my head in and say we have a new group up on facebook. Some of the groups we belonged to were deleting posts with useful information and since we were the majority of the posters... we made another group geared toward all wheelers. https://www.facebook.com/groups/676908319046680/
It's called Colorado Crawlers!!! Also I was getting tired of people posting in three different groups with the same information. Add it, PM if you have any questions

mud puddles just seem easier on 40 inch Boggers even in 2wd .

I was up at Slaughterhouse as well that day... Might have seen me. First run in my new XJ. Went pretty well, other than dropping my front drive shaft. Bolt came right out and bent the strap. I was able to get it back together enough to keep the shaft from hanging. Used a hammer and a bolt from the fuel rail, lol. Crawled right out of the back side in 2wd no problem.

FYI, stay out of that mud pit. It's considered out of bounds. Guy in a FJ got reported the day before.

My new rig if anyone saw it:

I saw a stock Cherokee romping through that pit at the start a bunch of times while I was airing up. He left then I saw him broke down about a mile down the road. I bet he overheated it.

So is there trails in Co that are more intense than slaughterhouse? Something that a stock jeep, or even a mild jeep on 33's really doesn't stand much of a chance on?
