Naaaah!

You just have to choose the right line................I do have a few scrapes and dings though............(the dents are memories)

I just moved to co this past May so I could use some help picking a trail from those who know the area. Taking into account snow.

Some members of my jeep club mentioned the following:
Bunce school rd
Rainbow falls Moab hill

If we can pick a good trail lets go! I'm good for Saturday or Sunday.

Absolutely!

Bunce School rd is easy, and there are other trails in that area. Middle St Vrain is a fun trail if it is not closed.............

Yankee Hill near Central City is a fun area to play in the snow.....

Rampart Range rd has a bunch of trails in that area to play on as well.....

Slaughterhouse Gulch is fun in the snow................There are tons of trees to winch off, if there is a bunch of snow.........

Also, Bill Moore Lake trail and Mill Creek is a fun trail, but it will probably have a bunch of new snow up there.............Most of it may be doable, except for the hill to get down to the lake (There is nothing to winch off, to get you back out)

Hard to say what trails have gotten a bunch of this new snow, without a recon run............Might be a roll of the dice.............

I would definately like to put something together for next weekend........I haven't been wheeling in awhile, and I got the itch!

Are you talking about those trails right off Fall River Rd. before you get to St. Mary's Glacier? Those aren't bad and in the snow could be a blast. I haven't been up there in quite a while. I would love to do Slaughterhouse but want to wait till I have a winch on my XJ so I can learn the ins and outs of using it. I let my wife know I am planning to go Sat. morning if that works for you guys. But I am open to Sunday also. (just don't want to blindside her with it at the last moment).

I've got both days freed up in case You and Toaster can go one day over the other....................
And Slaughterhouse is fun even in deep snow....................
Don't let the fact you don't have a winch yet stop you.....
Mine is portable. I can hook it to the front, or the back..............Hell I could even strap it to something, and hook it to your battery with long cable w/clamps................

But you, and Toaster can decide where you guys would like to go..........I'm up for any trail that's open........

I know the Fall River road area and I bet it has snow by now. I think it would be fun but don't have a winch. If a few of us go I think we should be fine as long as we have safety and recovery gear. Want to meet Saturday morning in the park and ride wholly mammoth lot just before gaining elevation on I 70. Thoughts?

Meeting at 8 at wooly mammoth park and ride sounds good. Unless anyone wants to meet us at Idaho springs if it's back tracking due to where they live?
