Yeah. I was the only one in the jeep. I turned the jeep off right away so it wouldn't lock up. Took the front window out pushed the roof up and ran it back down to Denver.

Hey guys. Relatively new to the boards, living in Colorado Springs. Bought my son a 98 XJ (chili pepper red) when he was in high school, but now that he's in college he seems to want a Nissan Xterra, so dear old dad inherits the XJ. No complaints here Hopefully see some of y'all out on the trails, but just thought I'd pop in to say hi...

Anybody is welcome to join I live a mile or so bellow the left hand trail. I am thinking some time after noon as he has to work tell then ,he will be in a mildly lifted tacoma. I have a good size drive way if anybody wants to meet up. This is the first in over 2 years I have been able to take the Jeep wheeling so I am excited.

I'd like to go as I haven't wheeled yet this season. But I'm running on my spare right now because I busted a beadlock and didn't have time to dismount it and put it on an old wheel, so if I can get that done tomorrow I'd be down to go.

My lift is sagging so bad that wheeling on your spare would probably work better I would like to discuss with anybody who comes some lift options I'm planning to move up to 33's some time this year.

Was looking over the rear of the jeep thinking about what I want to cut out and how i want to tie it in , and while looking closely at the tube work I've found ...lol...more good stuff the rear driver side D-pillar was kinked badly but turned inside as to hide the nearly flattened section of tube ...lol...I tell you 1.75 120 wall HREW only costs me about $2.25 ft and that D-pillar bar is only about 4ft of tube , so instead of replacing the botched kinked tube we turn it in and hide it on a major structural point in the EXO cage it is very hard to see as the tube work is so close to the body you really need to be looking at it hard ,but all I can say is DAAAAMN that's some shady work . I know the builder charged a bit less than some well known shops ,but total work done there was $3,500 for all work done and I know the materials used do not amount to more than about $500 in metal for bumper/cage , so I'm really confused as why we would hide a kinked tube rather than redo it right ...anywho that section of tube work will most likely be gone as the cut line for what i see as the new bodyline would be higher and at a much sharper angle like the cut line on the Hooligans XJ , but should I flop it on driver side and fold that kinked tube before I fix it ,well ...the builders choices could get him a kinked jaw line ,as I can see no possible way he can explain this as anything but screwing me .
