How is the engine? How many miles?

I just spun a bearing on my toy and I'm looking at options.

It has 227k miles, the engine is of course a 4L I6, but the engine still runs strong but I believe it needs a new IAC or TPS cause every now and then, especially after short interval starts or not run for days it revs and revs then calms down. The alternator, fuel pump, water pump and front brakes are less than a year old. Currently I am replacing the master cylinder, rear brakes pads and front ball joints.

Thanks for the info. Not sure yet if I’m going to:
1.rebuild current engine.
2.buy a short block
3.buy a new platform with a good engine and move parts

I hear ya. I love my rig but an opportunity I can't refuse. My friend is ready to sell me his that I helped him build. I just need to sell mine first, and I thought no better place to start than here. In the next day or two, I'm gettin on CL

Its a job I could do myself, how the hell can a professional automotive place decline this...Im blown away.

They always give me great prices and work so I never go anywhere else, now im stuck researching. Anybody have any references?
