Haven't posted in a long time but I'm hoping some of you Denver guys have seen this cherokee in person or wheeled with it. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4441056312.html

It's pretty much what I'm looking for just has some higher miles which doesn't overly matter as it won't be a dd. Any input on it?

Thanks,

Tyler

That XJ is not worth $5500...lol...Mother f-r is not even selling it with the tires on the ad it states at the end you need 4 wheels and plates , so you are paying $5500 and not even getting tires ...a set og good 35s will run you $800-1000. For an XJ still sporting a d30 and 8.25 it better have tires in the deal for over 5k .

I think for emissions you need tires smaller than 35s, so maybe he's saying you need some smaller tires to get plates?

So how bad are the emissions and inspection in Co? What about doorless and fender flare laws?

Emissions isn't bad. Especially if you do the drive by ones. Then you don't need 33s or smaller tires or an exhaust that dumps to an accessible location for them to put the hose on it. Everything else no one cares about as far as I can tell. I been pulled over a bunch in my jeep under the ruse of no front plate but no tickets.

Good to know. Thanks. I have always lived in places with no emission and very lax about a lot of the things we usually do to out jeeps. Strict emissions and inspections is enough to prevent me from moving to a state. Followed closely by front license plates. Lol

If I were to sell my XJ tomorrow I would expect to get at best $8,000 tops ...

The drive by ones suck. I have failed them in the past since went by at 4am when its cold out. Once you hit it so many times with a fail you then have to go to a state inspection e test. You have to make an appointment. If you don't go then your registration gets a red flag. It took about a hour to have it completed. Then I got a $50 gas card and a free e test cert for when I needed it again.

That sounds terrible. I've never had an issue luckily.
