Hi all I have the strangest problem with my radio that is rather anoying and I cant figure it out for the life of me. When I first bought my Cherokee it had an aftermarket digital radio with CD player that did not play FM and eventualy died. I then replaced the radio with a period correct radio made by chrysler (AM FM and cassette) although its not from a Cherokee. When turned on the radio does not recieve or play FM although in the 6 months I have had the radio FM has played for about 10 minutes in total it just simply doesnt work. Now at first I thought it to be the radio not playing FM but with testing other radios known to work they had the same problem. Next I tried plugging in a different antena directly to the radio(not run through the jeep) and it still was not playing FM even though both the jeeps antena and the troubleshooting one played AM. So in recap AM and cassette work but FM doesnt and any helpfull sugestions would be extremely apreciated as FM is a luxury that I very much miss.
I don't know where to start... if another antenna doesn't work and both radios won't play FM. the only other thing you could do is both replace antenna and factory radio with new components and see if things improve.
This is mine that is aftermarket with a Sony connector spliced in. There’s a ground from the Sony connector and one from the aftermarket connector. Is there supposed to be a female spade terminal that goes here?

You can disable that "related thread" garbage in your profile settings. It's not obvious, but I found it somewhere in there and have been very happy to NOT see that junk any more.
If I were a mod, that feature would be disabled completely. It causes too much confusion, too many zombie threads.
