Just noticed that one wiring fail's and you lose the wipers all 2014's.

So...don't use your wipers when they aren't wet, right? Seems like common sense to me. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of these minor "recalls" in the next couple of years after FCA got in so much trouble for not announcing the larger ones. Most of them won't be anything life threatening. The way I see it, they're just going to be keeping my car brand new for a while.

I would like to see some more details and a fix for the rear liftgate fire issue though...

So engineers were able to take a standard safety feature that has been around for what? almost a hundred years? and mess it up?


What Is it? too much Drag Load on the wipers? Winter is coming, what about Ice and Snow load?

It was saying something about the friction the dry windshield caused or something or another. The winter shouldn't be too bad. I mean most of those jeeps saw a winter already. I wonder if any KL users had issues.

 

Honestly, Other than rotten Blades ripping, I lived most of my life in the Desert and have never seen wipers have a problem running completely dry. I have seen them running like clockwork even though there were thick, wide black streaks due to blade material being deposited onto the glass from the extreme heat and friction of running dry so long.


After almost a hundred years of making wiper systems bulletproof in the name of safety, running dry should be a non-issue.


Seriously, an Engineer tried to shave just a couple pennies somewhere to cause this, lol

There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of stuff! lol
