Default Transfer Case Knocking..

I just bought a 95' Jeep Cherokee Country.
it's got 147k miles on it, and some rust underneath it.
Nothing to bad, i patched the biggest holes up with sheet
metal so the water wouldn't bleed in.

anyways, I've tested out the 4wd, and
everytime i put it into 4 wheel.. the transfer case
makes a knocking noise when i make hard turns.
I'm not sure what it is, I've been told that
the bushing between the transfer case and the TC guard
has been rusted out and that it knocks against the guard.

anyone have any ideas?!
i'ma newbi!

Yeah I hear it, it sucks. Rusting floorboards...
I'm thinking it might have something to do with my TC knocking.
The 4 wheel drive works, but it knocks when I turn.

"The 4 wheel drive works, but it knocks when I turn." Did you check the front U joints? ..............I got lucky on the rust part. Mine was under coated when new. And spent the first six years in Florida. Before my mother bought it in Wisconsin, It was someone's trade in. My brother worked for a auto dealer then, and grabbed it up right away. (It was in great shape w/40k on it) She owned it since '97, But really never drove it much. So when I inherited it in '08. It was still in good shape, with 64k on it. I'm the third owner (have all the paperwork since new) and it's at 67k right now. And I plan keeping it for a long, long time.
