Default XJ disc conversion options

I know the topic of XJ disc conversions is a popular one and I would like to know if anyone knows of any alternates to converting? I know of the kits you can buy(Teraflex, SSBC) and the ZJ to XJ conversion. Ive found a disc kit on http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Weld-O...ace,31752.html which I and a friend used on an old truck, is it possible that this kit or one similar to it will work? If not any option would be appreciated.

I wouldn't use that kit because of the 2 piece rotor the hubs chatter when they get hot and you have to safety wire the bolts on too.Which rear end do you have a dana 35 or the 8.25?

I believe only '03+ Liberty's had rear disk brakes.

Easiest way?

Get the caliper mounting studs and the "guts" from the proportioning valve from the donor vehicle.

see Big David post down in Axles section. He ships ZJ parts from a JY. You can get the parts yourself, but it would take a bit of time to get all the parts off yourself. I did this conversion a couple of weekends ago. Very straightforward.

This is the way I plan on doing it! No sense in buying a 'kit' when I can get all the parts I need from a junkyard.

And with the junkyard set up parts will always be off the shelf,No ordering stuff from one place and waiting for it.

You'll need longer lug studs but I think that's covered in the write-up.

Do all 94-98 ZJ brakes work or is it just certain axles? Don't see anything about it in the right up.

The backing plate needs opened up a little to slide over the 8.25 axle. A little grinding is all.

I have a quick question. I have a 94 XJ with a Dana 35. Could I use the disc hardware from any 94-98 ZJ or does it have to have a 35?
