Thanks for the input. I am not a huge fan of the lock washers either. I will definitely look into it.

No prob! Stover lock nuts are cheaper and better than nylocks too.

I use the Currie HD steering tie-rod unit. A lot more beefy than stock. Zero clearance issues. No death wobble or bump steer. Great unit in my opinion.

Perfect set up for 33" tires.

I'm running the rugged ridge one ton on my YJ. If I were to do it again i would go with some 1-1/4 Dom and heims and ream the knuckles and pitman arm

I run the teraflex high steer kit with the new knuckle and love it. I have had it on my 98 xj for 4 years now.

I think I'll look into that kit. Is it a complete bolt in without changing the track bar or sway bar link locations?

It's a complete bolt in besides the only thing it will run into is front sway bar mount on passenger side, but I cut mine off because I don't run one. That's the only "mod" you would have to do.

Here is a pic of the passenger side where I cut the seat bar tab.

FNG here, but would a dropped pitman arm help as well with the bump steer?

If you replaced a serious kit, how did you handle the holes that had to be drilled at 7/8 for the inserts?

The biggest plus with the Heim kit you only have to drill pitman arm and knuckles out to 5/8". AND there is no modifications to the axle side sway bar mount. Just my 2 cents
