Default Smittybilt XRC M.O.D. front bumper with winch

So I've had the XRC M.O.D. front bumper with the bull bar on my xj for about 5 months now and I am ready to start looking for the winch I want to buy. My question is if anyone is running this bumper with a winch and if they are what model winch? Does the holes on the winch plate line up or are they out of spec just like the rear hitch receiver? I'm looking at a Warn M8000 or a Warn Zeon 8 the Zeon concerns me because it looks like the fair lead doesn't come off and the XRC front bumper has a spot to mount a fair lead so I'm worries they'll interfere. This will be my first time buying a winch and will probably have it professionally installed. Thanks in advance.

I run a smittybilt x20 gen 2 on the front of mine. The fairlead is not attached he'd to the winch at all. Don't worry about that.

Thank you for your reply and time however I am not considering that winch at this time. How did the holes line up? I have the rear number and the receiver is way out of spec so it makes me worry.

I never noticed that fit list link on the side, it doesn't have it for the M8000 unfortunately. I have been leaning towards the M8000 anyways but like the looks of the Zeon. Thanks for your reply !

The M8000 is going to be my choice when I finally buy a winch, made in USA? and it has contactors instead of solenoids.

The mod bumper is for the JK. SB only has one bumper built for the XJ.

All the winches have the fair lead separate and they will all fit the SB xj bumper. the only one that i don think will is the powerplant.

As far as solenoids. There is a TON of bad information.
Such as peligros M8000 actually uses 4 starter type relays. Try to replace that out of warns warranty will run you about $100, they are basically ford starter solenoids.

The SB x20 and the albright upgrade are the same solenoid.

Really I guess Warn doesn't know their own product

You can keep your warn . maybe you should have warn send you part#38842 control box, then you can do a review of the starter solenoids. Ive had enough of them fail due to the control box problems. The only warn thats lasted in my years has been a xd900i thats sitting under the work bench, yep that ones uses the starter type solenoids too. Currently running a ramsey 9500 ( starter type solenoids) and x20 12k ( single sealed solenoid) without skipping a beat and the ramsey is over 10 years old. Let's hear about some of your actual uses of winches.
Different winch manufacturers use different terms for a "contactor". Solenoid, control box, breaker, and relay all refer to the "contactor". man i can even call them electromagnetic high amperage reversing switches. DOnt even get me started on d-ring vs shackles and the misconceptions in the off-road industry.

good job staying on topic.

Josh- Either warn will fit the XJ bumper, the only one that wont is the powerplant because of the bull bar and maybe a little close to the grille.
