renix header upgrade questions
I'm about to put on my pace setter header on my 89 xj. When I was under her the other day and was looking at the exhaust manifold I saw the o2 sensor and then there was something going from the intake to the manifold could this be something to do with emissions and can I just do away with it plug it off or something and everything still work?? Its basically stock except for some upgrades but nothing to do with the intake and what would he a good gasket to get for m header. Do the header wraps work thanks for all who looks and replies

its not necessary. i removed it on mine without issue. it had something to do with cold starts or whatever it was. somethinhg that was fixed by something else. I know it doesnt sound like much help here, but yeah, go ahead and take all of it off and youll be fine.

That tube goes to your intake to warm it up faster. The hot air from the exhaust warms the metal in the intake or some **** like that. You dont need it but it does help.
