Please elaborate on the frame fixing. Mine leaned pretty bad when I bought it. I swapped the bottom cushions as a temp fix. Hope to find some WJ seats before it leans again. But just in case.

Shoulda taken pics but the seat framing in my case was easily repaired with a bolt a couple washers and a nut. mine was broken in the circled area so every time I was in the seat it leaned quite a bit to the left and to the rear and adjusting the seat was also made very difficult because of the flaccid framing.
You just gotta get in there and peel the padding back till you see the frame. Some said it had to be welded, I was like you and looking for some nice heated leather WJ seats but then I just said F it, took the seat out and took care of the issue.

Yours a 97+? My 90 doesn't have any frame work under the outer half of the seat by design. They fixed that in later years. I thought you were talking about the earlier frames.

Nope mines a 2001, not familiar with the older ones. They clearly did not fix the weak frames though cause mine was toast in that spot.

97+ is an abbreviation for 97-01 Cherokees. 96- is an abbreviation for 84-96 Cherokees. 97 was a transition year for the XJs. The newer seat frames are much better than the older ones. Half of the seat cushion is completely unsupported on the older ones.
