For the people that have done the rear disc brake conversion, does anyone have a picture of how their original XJ parking brake cable connects to the ZJ or KJ parking brake?
I've heard having to cut down the spring. I've also heard having to fold the cable or bend it to work. Just need some ideas on how this is going to connect. I'm not opposed to getting the right parking brake cable, but don't want to pay a fortune for 'em either.

You pretty much got the procedure down. The cable is looped back on itself and held together with the proper size cable clamp.
I didn't get in to that when I did my '96. I bought (2) Crown #RT31039. Direct bolt on.

I started on the disc brake conversion last weekend and have been without my Jeep all week because I didn't have the right parts. I really need to have this thing finished up this weekend. I guess for right now I can modify the XJ cable to work.
I looked around for places that carry the cable you gave a part number for and no local place has it in stock. If I ordered from Quadratec today for example, I don't think it would reach me by the weekend.

True, but my other vehicle is a 6-speed and I got used to putting the emergency brake on anything I drive. I always use the emergency brake on the XJ.
