So, I'm looking at off road lights (specifically Hella 700FF's in a driving beam..) and I already have a 21.5" LED Light bar which will be mounted soon. I was wondering if my stock electrical system would be ok running both of these (HID-converted Hellas, 35 watt, and the light bar). Or should I upgrade the battery/alternator, etc...
Also, my headlights are the autopal housings with 6000k HIDs.
All stock sound system and all that. I'll be getting an optima yellowtop eventually but my current battery is good for now.
Thanks guys

I run Autopals with Silverstar bulbs, stock fogs with Silverstar bulbs, Hella FF500 driving with stock 55w bulbs, and two 27W LED floods. There are 10 LED pods under the Jeep, and an old Hella 55w FF50 (LOVE those!) as a back up light, all on the stock alternator and system. ALL of these are properly relayed and fused on their own fuse panel. I started with a Painless Circuit Boss, then made my own relay box, like the FITCHVA box. DO NOT start splicing and adding to stock fuses/circuits; add a separate set up. I have no dimming, no crazy loads, or shorts since I've added all the extras. Then there are the extra 12v outlets, XM radio, CB, 250w amp & 8" JBL
.....no problems all set up correctly.

Thanks for the input... I'm adding a 10" sub with a decent amp here soon also so I hope all is good with just an optima yellowtop.Originally Posted by ThatAintStock00

I agree with this.
Your stock alternator and battery are just fine.
If anything I'd tell you to take the HIDs out of those housings since there's no way they throw any kind of decent pattern.
I'd say run some standard H4 bulbs in the autopals with an aftermarket harness.
Run the Hella's from a relay on it's own switch.

Put that harness in with Hella H4 bulbs.
and wire the Hella 700's and the Light bar to separate relays and switches.

Everything will be wired separately. So what if I throw in a pair of 100w daylighters to go on the a-pillars? still be good?

Sure. It'll kill the hell out of your battery without the engine running but I'm sure it'll run the lights. Originally Posted by blakexcore

The light bar isn't going to pull much power anyways. The HIDs shouldn't be pulling much at all.
The 700FF are juice suckers.

Ditto this. I've got too many other things to fix before I put the harness in and possibly introduce another issue, lol...Originally Posted by blakexcore

AND GET RID OF THOSE STUPID HID's. Your Jeep is not a ricer. In my honest opinion, HID coming down the road = douchebag.

If anything I wouldn't use all of them without the engine running. Probably just the light bar. I originally was just gonna sell it but i figure ill just put it on anyways, i dont know where im gonna mount it though.Originally Posted by lowrange2

I have the perfect spot for it to be mounted on the front of my Jeep.Originally Posted by blakexcore
