Default Shocks...

So I feel dumb having to ask a question about front shocks, but I'm stumped. I have completely replaced both front coils, and the passengers side shock, but I am stuck on the drivers side shock. The stupid thing is under the brake master cylinder! Anyone have any tips to removing the shock besides pulling the master cylinder? And I cant do the simple "put a wrench on top and turn the bottom" because the nut on top is frozen pretty good and needs to have the impact gun put on it. Any advise would be great!

Have you soaked the bolt with pb blaster or kroil yet?

If not soak it over night.

Try to tighten the bolt a turn or two then loosen it that is usually how I get frozen nuts free. If that doesn't work. Use a grinder or sawzall and cut or grind below the frozen nut.

I got it pretty good with pb, but the problem is not the bolt being stuck as much as it is me getting to the bolt... It's under the brake mc.

I have had success with removing the airbox to get at the upper shock hardware.
I too, once, wanted to "make my life easier" by not doing an extra thing.

Remove the airbox , Thats how I had plenty of access to my shock bolts when I installed my shocks

Just take a sawzall to the thing inside the lower fenderwell. You aren't reusing the hardware .
