So I bought a RE 3.5” lift with new leafs, advanced adapters SYE and Adams driveshaft, bar pin eliminators front and rear, RE adjustable track bar, and 3/4 coil spacers for the front. The Jeep is a 99 and the current suspension is completely shot. Come to find out it has a 2” budget boost on it now. So what would I need to go ahead and run it and use all the parts to have a 5.5” lift and is it worth it? Should I just find some stock shackles and forget it and run the 3.5 only?

well, you'd need new/extended brake lines to get to 5.5 and would likely want to look at re-gearing the front and rear axles. I'd stick with the 3.5 lift with the SYE. You can still run 31's - 33's with some fender cutting.

Combining the "budget boost" with the new kRE kit doesn't sound like the best idea.

Why is it not a good idea? I have to use a coil spacer anyways and people add lift shackles all the time. I would just be running a bigger coil spacer is all and I already have extended brake lines for the front so... just curious?

pending your tire size this combo of parts will not work. A RE 3.5" lift is accomplished by springs and lower control arms that were sized to the lift, they are not adjustable.

For 5.5 the hell your controls arms would see, shy of hilarious, would surely rattle your teeth out. That is, if it would even fit with your tires.

5.5 lift will require LCAs that fit, brake lines, track bar, SYE, possible new drive shafts, UCAs( dont qoute me here but im pretty sure they are a must). not sure if the drag link will fit.

are your LCAs the superflex?

this is a very capable lift for what it is, however simply put if you want to run 5.5" lift do it right or youll be spending more money anyway.

they are the super flex but I’m thinking about buying adjustable upper and lower control arms. I already have a slip yoke and a cv shaft that’s good for that much lift, I also already have track bar and brake lines

well your most of the way there. if you buy control arms you may want to consider drop brackets, but for that money a long arm isnt out of sight, just sayin.

as it seems your unsure on if your going this route ide also encourage you to think of your application and the vehicles center of gravity for the purpose of your build.

either way it sounds like your on track
