My friend installing 1.25 inch wheel spacers on his lifted 91 Laredo. Due to stud length, Instructions show to use open lug nuts.

I'm wondering about stainless lug nuts. Open ones for sale on eBay are described as for for use on trailer wheels.

• Thread Pattern: 1/2-20 Right Hand
• Nut Length: 5/8" Long
• Socket/Wrench Size: Standard 13/16" Size

Are stainless open lug nuts a viable alternative? vs steel or chromed steel?
