Default Adding to a 3'' lift?..

hi there, complete newb, but I'm aware of the how the forums work.
I did a search but came up short.

I'm looking at buying a 96' Cherokee with a Rubicon Express 3" Lift kit, with new front coil springs and rear add-a-leafs. Brand new PORC (Performance Off Road Center) shocks at all four corners and new front control arms as well as PORC Heavy duty adjustable front trac bar.

I want a higher lift, is there anything I can do to make it sit higher, or is that it? thanks in advance

Depending on the arms you have, you could add a spacer and a shackle. But more then 4" of lift you will need longer brake lines, adjustable trac-bar and more then likely a SYE. I have 3" on my XJ getting ready to add a 1" shackle and spacer as well.

How much higher do you want to go?

On top of that xjjeepthing said you will need new LCA's and possibly UCA's and most definitely a SYE.

But let us know how much higher you want.

after reffering to the nice list of acronyms, which I must say is very well done, don't have that on my Rx-7 forum, it does make sense with to upgrade the LCA, UCA's and the SYE .. I am looking for anything from 4.5, to 6''

Yes it does especially with that sort of height. Although at 6" I would look into some LA's (long arms) to increase your ride quality.

You can either use some new RE braided lines or get some stock YJ front lines. Either will work. Yes, you will need a new adj tracbar.

More height does not = more flex.

Tire size, control arm joints/angles, shock lengths, among other things determine flex.

If it were me (I will be doing this) I would go a bit over an inch higher and go LA's. Make sure your shocks will permit then run bigger tires according to your preference.

A real good person to talk to about this would be ktmracer (our mod) he is my go to guy whenever I have questions regarding the flex department. I would suggest shooting him a PM.

LA = Long arms

Give KTM (sam) a PM and you will get some great information regarding that subject.
