Quote: With a Aussie locker you would want to lock the front correct? if you locked the back it would be kicking in around corners?
it only kicks if youre stopped and making a sharp turn while mashing the gas

Quote: Where'd you find a Detroit for 350$?
the guys i go through (Hudlow Axle, Rossville, GA) got me one...keep in mind it is an automatic locker, not a selectable, but it works great, always when you need it to

I love Detroit. That's my plan for the rear when I get the 8.8... found em for close to 500...

the 8.8 was probably the best decision i've ever made for my jeep...i got a 31 spline 8.8 with discs and LS, best grand i've ever spent, which includes the gears and welding and what not Hudlow did for me (hate that it had to be that way, however i just didnt have the know how or time to do it myself), not to mention the disc brake conversion...and the limited slip actually works pretty well

Quote: Maybe newer versions. The compressor is powered by one switch, lockers activated by another. If my compressor is off and I hit the locker activation, the compressor does nothing.
All ARB compressors, even the old models, have a pressure switch in them. Without it there's nothing to shut the compressor off adequate pressure is achieved and the compressor would run continuously.

it's labeled as the PRESSURE LIMIT SWITCH on the following schematic.

If I turn the compressor off it gets no power. I can flip the locker switch all I want, but if the compressor doesn't get any power cuz its off, its not gonna do anything.

You're not understanding me.
Let me try this again.

The compressor is only energized when the the Compressor Switch is ON and the contacts in the Pressure Switch are closed.

Without the Pressure Switch the compressor will run non-stop once it it is energized.

Better?

No, I got you. But we were talking about two different switches...obviously.

What I was saying is that when I turn off my compressor switch, no matter if the lockers are engaged or not, the compressor will do nothing. Cut the feed line, whatever. The compressor is still off.

However this is all off topic. Let's keep it on the topic of what lockers will work best for the OP.
