JK shocks for XJ?
+1 -- If you're around that 2-4" lift height, JK rubicon shocks FTW. Ride quality is fantastic. Stiffer, yet more comfortable. Better feel on the road (haven't tested off road, but have heard they are just fine)
Speaking from experience, black JK shocks do not work for 3 inches of lift, the rear are only about 1.5 inches longer and the front are almost the same length as stock, also the rear which I have been running for about 5 months even though they're too short are not very nice, they make a lot of noise, at least in my case

I've got a set of black and a set of red setting side by side in my garage.
Same length but different diameters.
I have heard there's a difference between JKU and JK shocks so Idk if that's it and maybe yours are off a jku, but for me they were hardly longer than stock
