I'll try that. But I flashed someone the other morning for cutting me off and my lights would switch from hi and low but stay on.

I'm assuming your light switch was on. What I'm saying is... Here is a example. You pull into your driveway. Before you turn off the Jeep. Push the head light switch to off (the lights stay on) now flip on the high beams. (now the lights should turn off) then shut off the Jeep.

Kris talks about removing the delay module under the dash on page 7. I didn't remove mine and I think that's why I have to flip on the high beams to get the lights to go off.

Haha what im saying is while I'm driving I can not turn my lights off once they are switched on day or night. When I park my jeep I always push the switch in and turn the jeep off and everything goes out.

Awesome, 10 more days and hopefully I'll get a shipping notice. Hopefully yours won't break when they ship.

I thought I was the only one that had to do this. I have a 2000 with fog lights and thought that might have to do with it. I also heard about removing the delay module too. I need to do that.

If by chance you guys experience being unable to switch between high beam and low beam while driving, then you will have to pull the fog light relay. I like the fact my headlights stay on after shutting off. The power isnt cut in a fading or reduction of voltage it simply cuts the full power after the delay so this shouldnt harm the ballasts or bulbs.

There may be another method such as the driver side high beam wire from the factory harness being tapped into the high signal from the projector high beam signal. I have yet to try that... but I do know my 99 with this harness and ballasts would not allow me to switch from high to low. It would turn to high but would not go back to low with the factory fog light relay in place. Once I pulled it, all went to normal. I did attempt pulling the delay module but it didnt fix my issue so i put it back to retain the delay off.

No you don't have to pull the fog light relay or fuses, you just need to wire up your harness the right way. Take your red fog light wire (not the red high beam wire) and tap it into the new highbeam wire on your new harness.

If you don't and switch from hi to low beams, what happens is both the hi and low is running hot.. this will burn out H4's in no time.. not sure what it will do to HID's but its probably not good.

Right, that solves issues with the highbeam/lowbeam problem but unfortunately it does not fix the issue with the lights not going out when you shut them off regardless of engine being on or off. You still have to flick the highbeams for them to shut off. I believe that problem would be solved with the removal of the delay module. I think the delay module leaks some voltage even when its off and this somehow keeps the relays activated until the circuit can be broken, which is what happens when you flick the highbeams. Its not enough voltage to activate the relays, but enough to keep them activated once they are on. Of course with the regular sealed beams and no harness the lights just go out because the small voltage leak is not enough to actually light the bulbs. This is my theory on this and my xj is a 2000.
