Grinding noise when turning

Well, if you pull the front driveshaft, then when you turn, 4wd or not, you will have no resistance on the front output, so you won't be able to tell anything.
it still could be axle or tcase....doing that will only tell you if it IS the front axle, as the noise will still be there. Removing the front driveshaft takes the tcase out of the equation as far as noises due to differences in driveshaft speeds, but could still makes noise from the rear output
