I'm on my phone and only skimmed your post....but about it being a pia to get the bolts out.. I took an grinding wheel grinded (safty first! I used thick gloves and a table grinder) off the top of the bolt on one side,,making it flush with the bolt. Makes it a 1000 times easier to get the bolt out. Mine are 4 inches long. So I just push the bottems up and they normally fly right out and fall to the ground.
lil lost in what u mean ??
? do u have any pix of maybe when u get to your pc explain lil more plz lol

Hmm have you tried it the way i did it? If you have then i am surprised at this response. Many people have removed the doors of of their XJ's. Now if i was able to take a poll i would bet an very high percentage of people would go this way. I have tried the bolt way and the welded pin way. I personally choose the pin way. Im not a hater, just an educated disagreer

Ahh Yes I agree with it being the best way without welding. But I think zacks has a welder. If not, do the 3/8s way.
