front locker????

I have a 1997 cherokee,4.0,auto trans. How do I check the front locker to see if still works?? It used to make a noise when I turned a sharp corner and now it is
not making a sound. I might be in the wrong section. Thanks

Best for what? Are you doing a bunch of off-roading? If so, what kind? Is this your daily driver? What other modifications do you have? I'm assuming you're talking about the rear here. What axle/diff do you have?

Easy to test, make sure you are on flat ground and jack the rear tires up off of the ground and put them on jack stands then do the same to one front tire, then put it in 4x4 and see if you can drive off of the jack stands. My Spartan lockers are quiet as well but they work for sure.

That is funny you say this... I just finished my build and I installed a Spartan locker in the rear end and the initial test drive it sounded like the Cherokee was going to explode going around corners... then I remembered someone saying he didn't like the sound and that it was a little embarrassing, I agree! But I guess I'll live with it until I can't anymore.
