Aussie Locker Noise
Is this normal? I know they make a ratcheting sound, but this sounds a lot louder than I would have expected it to.
This is not mine, but I'm trying to decide on which locker to put in the D30 of my DD. Thanks.

That's normal. It could even be worse.
For lunchbox type the No-Slip is more advanced and almost silent, but then it costs 2-3 times more. I run a No-Slip in the front and rear of mine now just because I couldn't stand the noise of the Aussie.

Hi folks, Aussie Locker here.
Just wanted to let you know that this video above does not show a properly functioning Aussie Locker. While it would take some diagnosing, I can say that the locker is not installed correctly or that the stock cross pin is soft.
A properly functioning Aussie Locker is barely audible, and even less so with aggressive tires and other road noises.
Feel free to shoot me an email or PM with any other questions.
Thanks!
AL

Also, you guys wouldn't want to use my XJ as a test subject would you? Install the locker and video it so you can show how quiet it's supposed to be when installed correctly? haha.
