Default Needing shocks

My shocks are shot...Rear shocks are leaking a bit, and all 4 are squeaking. I have a RC 4.5" lift, no telling how old it is. Who makes decent shocks. I am not looking to put billstein's on it and spend $300+ on shocks. I was going to order some RC ones, but didn't know if there was a better bank for the buck out there. This isn't a DD, I drive it during bad weather 30 miles to work and drive it in town instead of my 15' mustang GT. I also hunt out of it and go wheeling.

I use fatbobsgarage shocks and love them! Check out his website. They're under $200

My son also has a RC 4.5 lift. Looking at that site shows 4" or 5" options. Which would be best for the 4.5?

A lot of people say the skyjacker hydros are a decent shock. I might go for them.

All of those white body shocks are about the same China made and cheap, use any of them till your ready to step-up to a good shock.

It it was something I drove all the time, I would buy OME, billsteins or something. But its not something that I drive much to justify the extra cost on shocks.

Interested to hear how they ride. I have F150 shocks on the rear for a temp fix and they are horrible. The XJ is just waaay too light for them.

I'll let you know. I bought the shock pin eliminator's as well since I have thud noises too that I am 99% sure is in the shock. Just bought ground shipping since it was free...Was going to order 2 day, but its too late to get them here by sat. with 2 day, so I just decided to go with free ground since it would be next week regardless.

You could have got Bilstein 5100s for around $272 shipped from Autoplicity.com

I had FatBobsGarage shocks on my xj and hated them. They're just rebranded ProComp ES1000s.

I run gabriel max control if you go through the autozone catalog you'll find different vehicles with the lengths you need. $150 for a set of 4 lifetime warranty mono tube shocks you just go in and exchange. I had the dt8000 and was not a fan the bumpstops only take a hit or two and there just like any other white body I've had but twice as much.
