I just installed a new front bumper which has square light openings. The local Harbor Freight happens to have square four LED lights in both flood and spot and I'm unsure which would be best for a fog light application. Any thoughts?

On my dual sport bike I run one of each. A spot and a flood. One gets me a lot of peripheral light for ditches while the spot gets me some good light thrown down the road.

What ya gonna use them for ??
low speed driving where you want to see what's around you, get flood
Higher speed driving where you want to see what's out ahead of you, go with spot

If you do mostly on road driving id definitely recommend some DOT approved led fogs. Dont use a flood or the spot beam, the lights designed to be a fog light have a much sharper vertical cutoff and do a much better job without blinding oncoming traffic.
As far as off-road i prefer the flood pattern as most of my wheeling is slow speed and rocks.

X2 with LACK.
If it were me, I would look for a better light for your application. Not knocking HF, but those lights are not of the best quality. If you wanted a flood light for a backup light or strictly off-roading, that would probably work fine. There are plenty of dedicated foglights out there that will probably fit your application, and provide significantly better performance on the road. I've had good luck with KC lights over the years.

OK, just ordered a pair of Rough County DOT fog/DRL lights on clearance for 50% off. That made them about the same price as the HF lights but much better quality than HF.
