Default Fog Light Ideas!

so right now i have hella 700ff with 4500k 55watt hids, but I'm aware that's more of a distance setup.. I'm looking for a good fog light that would allow me to see through real thick fog.. there's times here in the valley where u cannot see 5ft in-front of you because of this. any thought?

no lights will ever help you see through fog. the more light you put on it, the more it will reflect back at you. what you need it the light to go under the fog, but thats maybee imposible with a high truck as a cherokee.

x2

Remember when people used the Amber fog lamps? I don't understand why all the factory fog lamps are clear these days. The Amber light gives more contrast. Real FOG lamps put out a wide beam near the front of the vehicle. And they need to be mounted low. Can you say trail damage? =]

I have a small pair of PIAAs under my bumper, but my offroading is limited. True fog lights are meant to light the sides of the road and just in front of the vehicle rather than projecting out into the fog.

The worst fog I ever had to contend with was at night, with snow on the ground and road. I turned my headlights OFF and used the parking lights only as I didn't have fog lights.
