go to the junk yard and make a bastard pack. I had somewhat flat leaf springs before I broke them apart, and now I have a good arch sitting at 4.5" lift. Unless you have the funds to get a brand new pack.

If you're planning a lift for the future just do the lift with new packs now. I spent about 400 dollars on replacement Rancho leafs and they've already sagged and the ride is rough. Lift it.

There are alot of threads about this topic, but basically what you have to do is go to a junk yard and find a spring pack that will help lift your XJ to the height you want. I got two Dodge Dakota leaf spring packs for mine. Then jack the back of the jeep up, disconnect the axle from both leaf springs, break all the leaf spring packs apart, reorganize the XJ leafs with the other spring packs you got, and then put it all back together. I have a build thread with a basic write up in it. I didnt take a ton of pictures when I was doing it because I was in a hurry to get it done.

I also referred to this site when I was wrapping my head around what I needed to do.

Hopefully this helps!
