I’ll start by admitting I’m pretty new to brake systems, this is my first time working on brakes. I recently replaced all four brakes sides, including both wheel cylinders. While swapping the wheel cylinders, both rear axle brake lines unfortunately snapped. I wasn’t able to get replacement lines for about two weeks, so the Jeep sat with the system open during that time. Fast forward to today, I’ve installed the new rear lines and started bleeding the brakes, but I’m not getting any fluid out at all from the rear bleeders. From what I’ve been able to find, some people suggest the proportioning valve may have closed due to the loss of pressure when the lines broke, but haven't found much info on how to confirm or fix that. Also note the Jeep doesn't have ABS.
Has anyone run into this before or have suggestions on what the solution could be? I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance!
