engine help
my xj is a 98 with the 4.0 all stock only mod is a 4.5 lift it runs very good but when you drive it till the eng temps are up to norm and cut it off and let it sit for a bit like 10 or 30 min when you start it back up it does not want to take the gas as i put more right foot to it it will pop back in the tb and then take the gas and all is good to go then there is no dtcs set it takes the gas with no prob when eng is cold but when it want take the gas its like im not even on the gas any help would be great

I would test/adjust your tps and see if it is good. Having to give it gas to start is a strong symptom of a bad tps.
tps= throttle position sensor, found on the throttle body
tps= throttle position sensor, found on the throttle body

Issue only when up to temp, and a backfire at manifold. You have fuel delivery issues that I'm going to blame on the o2 sensor. Remember, these are still opinions, not facts
