I put a rugged ridge header on, It works just fine. You might look into replacing the headpipe just behind the header too. After I put my header on my engine ran really rough until I replaced the head pipe with one that doesnt have the huge factory dent in it. just FYI.

You can use the later model headers if you do 2 things. One, is have the EGR bung welded on to the new header. Two, is use a later model headpipe and have on O2 sensor bung welded on to it.

Are the heads the same size and all to mount to?

Should be but that's not all you have to do, a lot of the times you have bad clearance issues with the newer headers against the firewall.

You didn't have clearance issues with the firewall?

Yes, the exhaust ports are the same. And of the three I've done there are absolutely no firewall clearance issues.

I trust ya then. I had just heard of people having firewall clearance. You have to also plug the egr for the pace setter also unless you want to run a new pipe for it.

Head location and body design didn't change.

More than likely they'll work fine as long as you deal with the two things I mentioned previously.
