Yes I am most definitely just learning. Excuse me for not already knowing how to build a stroker as a high school student. So I'll apologize in advance for this next stupid question. The gears yall are talking about, are they the gears in the differential or what?

So deeper gears would increase the ratio from number of axle rotations to drive shafts rotations?

The higher the number.... higher number is "lower gear"... kinda backwards... for instance, i am going to install 4.88's in mine when i get to it... thats a lower gear than say a 4.10... 4.10 would be a little better gas economy on the highway, but i dont care about that...

The way people use the terms for "high" and "low" gears can get confusing... the bigger the number=easier to turn bigger tires=worse gas mileage...

So the higher the number, the more pick up I've got, then?

Larger numerically (higher number) are considered " lower" gears. Lower gears accelerate quicker. They are used on jeeps to compensate for larger than stock tires (mostly)

yes, but less top speed and less gas mileage because the engine will rev higher. Gears can cost a lot though. Usually 500+ per axle.
