Default Axle swap time

Ok so I have a 8.8 I'll be throwing in my 89 xj and possibly a waggy front 44 I found. My question is should I try and find the matching rear waggy 44 or keep the 8.8? If I keep the 8.8 I was planing on adding c-clip eliminator to it. Only prob with the eliminator kit is that it's not 6 lug like the front waggy. What are my options I don't want to do spacers of the eliminator kit kicks everything out a inch each side it says. Summit racing sells c-clip eliminator kits for the 8.8 but lists them all for cars. I'd buy Dutchman axle shafts if I can find a cheaper way to get 6 lug in the rear. Hope this all makes sense. Thanks

link to the summit eliminator kit?

what's wrong with the D30? waggy 44 ain't nothing to bring home to mom if you know what I mean. low pinion, difficult to find replacement shafts, 6 lug, all negatives. I'd take an HP30 any day

U can change the front spindles/hubs/rotors/calipers to a 5x5.5 pattern and run adapters on the 8.8.

Or you could swap in a isuzu rodeo rear dana 44 its same 6 lug and right width.Or run the yukon 8.8 c-clip eliminator in the 8.8 which is dual drilled for 5x4.5 and 5x5.5 and change the waggy 44 to 5x5.5 which isn't hard you can do it with junkyard parts or kits online.

Look at this and scroll down http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billav...ngresearch.htm but if you want to run a high steer or cross over steering then you need to get a chevy dana 44 passenger side knuckle but everything is covered in that write up.

I've read guys say u need to cut and spin the c's on the axle. If that if you go over a 5 inch of lift or over 35 inch tires I'm at 4.5 and will go to 33's possibly 35's

That is a good idea in order to maintain good pinion angle and if you have the skill to do it you might as well. Going with a tall lift and still keeping a good castor angle without sacrificing pinion angle can be difficult. Lots of people run 5"+ without any issues though. Definitely not a mandatory modification, and tire size doesn't have anything to do with it
